Innova Hycross- The evolution of Innova Crysta

Finally, Toyota globally revealed the Innova Hycross in Indonesia, the new Innova Hycross is looking absolutely dope in its new avatar. Although the new Innova Hycross is completely different in every possible way- New platform, new powertrain options. Toyota may pull the wraps off the new Innova Hycross on November 25 and prices are to be revealed at Auto Expo 2023.

Innova Hycross has become a lot more premium and techy too from the inside, thanks to the humongous 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment panel, and no less, the driver also gets a fully digital instrument cluster. The middle-row passengers get a bench or captain seat option either as before. But if you opt for the former, Hycross gets a leg rest for a more comfy ride. Practicality cannot be compromised, a sufficient amount of storage space and cup holders are present like before.

So many of the addition have been brought new which is not as before like a Panoramic Sunroof, ADAS, Dual entertainment screen at the rear, and Electric parking brake with auto hold. Also notable are present like keyless entry with push button start, ambient lighting, steering mounted audio controls, rear AC vents with individual controls, and ambient lighting.

According to the leaks we’ve already set in our mind how the new Innova looks and the leaks are on point, it follows the typical Innova design language with the upright nose with a trapezoidal grille and sleek headlamps definitely, and this Innova looks more muscular and SUV-like than before. From the side view, it still looks like an MPV with broad wheel arches filled with 18inch alloys. From the rear, it has new sleek looking LED tail lamps with resemble the old Innova

Inside the hood, the all-new Innova Hycross gets a 2-litre petrol engine with non-hybrid and strong hybrid assistance. The regular Innova will produce 170PS while the hybrid variant might put out 190PS (combined), both variants are based on a front-wheel drive layout. But unfortunately, there is no diesel option to be offered.

Innova Hycross is built on a completely different platform from the previous generation. It is built on a TNGA: GA-C monocoque body instead of a body-on-ladder platform. The dimension of the new Innova Hycross and old Innova Crysta are as follow-

We can expect the starting price of the all-new Innova Hycross to be around 20 lakhs. It can share the rivalry with Mahindra Marazzo and Kia Carens although it’s a completely different vehicle.
