Toyota Hilux facelift revealed

Design & Features-

Toyota Hilux updated their most selling pickup truck, Hilux. It gets a new updated front fascia with blacked out hexagonal grille depending on the variants. Redesigned front bumper which looks muscular, gloss black accents are limited to higher variants which includes lamp bezzels, wing mirrors and door handles also tinted headlamps.

Toyota added two front and four rear parking sensors as standard, higher variants get dual zone climate control, wireless charging pad, two USB-C ports and auto up/down on all-four windows. Design of interior remains same.

Powertrain-

Toyota added 48V mild-hybrid tech to 2.8 litre, four-cylinder turbo charged diesel engine, introduced late last year, belt driven electric motor generator, a small lithium battery and a DC-to-DC convertor to enable stop/start system.

Toyota claims the mild hybrid system which improves efficiency by 6 to 10 percent, hybrid system helps in betterment of refinement and NVH levels. Engine produce 204 hp & 500nm of torque. Cosmetic and feature upgrade are market specific. Not expected to offer India. Toyota is expecting mild hybrid tech for Diesel engine, not on Hilux but on Fortuner as well.
